DHMIS - From Bad to Worse

DHMIS - How to transform the vulgar in appreciated art

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared is an animated British animated series of 6 chapters that started in 2011. It's probably one of the weirdest things on Internet. It's about three friends, a yellow man with blue mohican, a green duck/penguin and a furry red thing and on each chapter a trivial theme is addressed in a creepy way. Just like many other webseries, DHMIS's first episode is just random and creepy, but as the chapters go, a story starts to flow and in the end of the last chapter (sixth) we watch a distressing ending.
It's visible to see traces of surrealism, actually, the series is Surrealistic and this helped to make it viral, because the two creators did an excellent job turning the vulgar on funny and appreciated art (well, British humor). But, how can this be possible? The answer: Tarantino. Hold on, I'll explain. Quentin Tarantino gourmetized the violence and dark humor, therefore, everything with the same things that are presented on his movies can easily become viral, principally with animations because they used a popular format for children, opposing the potential innocence, such as Rick and Morty, DHMIS, 12 days of elves and Happy Tree Friends.

Is DHMIS logical? SPOILER ALERT

There are theories on the Internet solving the series, the most accepted one is that, according to the wiki fandom, "A man named Roy he puts his son, Yellow Guy, and his friends, Duck and Red Guy, into a learning place, or as said in the interview, the punish-land. This is where he is supposed to learn things, but they always end up in flames", but I have my own theory (dammit, the font accidentally changed, but I'm too lazy to turn it back again, so just relax and enjoy larger letters). My theory affirms that actually, the three friends are drug addicted and Roy put them on this rehab clinic, there they are subjected to an experimental treatment with heavy medications and the collateral effect of these are hallucinations, then the red one is mentally healed and finds a real job, he is still in an abstinence crisis because of the lack of medication, then he finds Roy that asks him to cancel the treatment because his son is suffering, meanwhile the duck is almost dying (just like he was been eaten), then the red one cancels the treatment and everything starts again because they get addicted to another drug, what explains why they are with different colors.
I don't know what motivated the creators to make something so creepy, I don't want, as well, because it probably might be something creepier than the animations itself. The only thing that we must carry on through our lives is that WE NEED TO THINK CREATIVELY.
Special Thanks, Samuel and Beatriz
